HOW GOD DEALS WITH EVIL RULERS
“And the Lord said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the miracles that I have put in your power. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go. Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son, and I say to you, “Let my son go that he may serve me.” If you refuse to let him go, behold, I will kill your firstborn son.’” (Exodus 4:21-23 ESV)
HOW YOU AND I ARE TO DEAL WITH EVIL RULERS
“But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:25-28)
My conclusion is simple in that we do the right thing and God’s patience allows the “opportunity” for evil leaders to become good leaders. For the vast majority of evil leaders-they will remain evil. Once God’s patience runs dry, He hears our cry and brings the hammer down…swiftly, quickly and severely. None us us…ruler or not can say we didn’t know better. So be encouraged as the world seems to get crazier day by day. Stay in God’s Word, His ways and His will…and watch, pray and know that God hears your struggles and knows your fears. Once His predetermined time comes about, expect the unexpected. Judgement will be at hand for those who abuse others. In preparation, our job should be one of compassion, love and grace at a time when a multitude of closed hearts will open. We need to be prepared for such a moment in time to share the good news-Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Are you preparing daily?…Steven
